Chaosaddiction emerged in 2019 as a project by Rui Alexandre (Terror Empire) and released two singles in 2020.

In 2024, it finally became a full band with the addition of Gaspar "Animal" Ribeiro (Equaleft, Terror Empire, Wrath Sins), Pedro Mota (Omen, Vurdalak), and Pedro Magalhães (Sotz, Boulder).

The sound of Chaosaddiction is distinctive and draws heavily from the more elemental and minimalist metal of the '90s (Machine Head, Pantera, Sepultura, Corrosion of Conformity, Fear Factory…), with riffs that oscillate between the weight of groove and the speed of cutting-edge hardcore.

The lyrical imagery is intense and focuses on the emotional chaos stemming from the (dis)affairs with life and people.

Chaosaddiction's live shows are intense and personal, with sets that are authentic sessions of catharsis - both on stage and in the moshpit.
